The total prize money up for grabs in the Indian T20 Premier League is equivalent to AUD 14 million, whilst the total prize money up for grabs in the BBL is equivalent to AUD 1.4 million. The Indian Twenty20 Premier League allows a total of up to 9 non-Indian players per squad, with a maximum of 4 international players allowed to start each game. The Big Bash League places a cap on the number of foreign players that can participate at 2, with an extra 2 foreign players allowed to serve as backups.

In contrast to the BBL, the Indian T20 Premier League does not have a women’s equivalent of the league that plays similar games to the men’s version. The Indian Twenty20 Premier League has crowned a total of six different champions, whilst the Big Bash League has only done it five times. The Indian T20 Premier League, in contrast to the Big Bash League, does provide players with individual rewards based on their performances both during games and during the course of the season.

The players for the Indian T20 Premier League are selected through an auction process, in contrast to the players for the Big Bash League, who are bound by contracts. The two leagues share a lot of similarities and differences, but when you put them side by side, the Indian T20 Premier League comes out on top due to the fact that they have a lot more experience managing a league than the other one does.
